Description:
As the FIE Physical Security Section Leader, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Department of Energy (DOE) security standards. You’ll oversee the execution of physical and technical security functions, including the development of construction documents for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF). Additionally, you’ll supervise the Field Intelligence Element (FIE) physical security team members.
Pay Range:
- $142,050 – $218,868 Annually
- $142,050 – $182,388 Annually at the TSS.3 level
- $170,430 – $218,868 Annually at the TSS.4 level
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide professional security support and oversight for SCIFs and FIE programs.
- Conduct technical and administrative tasks in support of LLNL construction projects.
- Develop documentation, policies, and procedures to meet evolving security customer requirements.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues to minimize risks.
- Direct procurement and delivery of government furnished equipment and/or material.
- Review safety plans and coordinate safety document approval process.
- Communicate project status and issues to stakeholders.
- Lead inspections, audits, and other activities related to physical and personnel security.
- Serve as a knowledge resource and provide training on security requirements.
- Develop solutions to complex security-related problems and issues.
Qualifications:
- Active DOE Q-level clearance or active Top-Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency.
- Bachelor’s degree in security management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Advanced experience and knowledge of SCIF operations and security requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret policies and regulatory requirements.
